Non of the answers are very accurate. Common cards from any sets are not collectable but foil cards are. You try collecting a complete set including foils and see how difficult it is. From the EX series the EX Foil Cards can be worth from US$6 up to well over US$40 with the top rare and powerful cards up above $US75. Common, uncommon and rare foils range from US$0.50 to around US$6. Diamond and Pearl cards from the latest sets are possibly a bit cheaper with top cards going for US$25. Cards before the EX Series can be collectable but they usually rely on errors or misprints. 1st Edition cards are collectable so to are cards issued at major events etc. Cards from the first sets are quite common, even the foils because the print runs were so large in the early days. It's like anything, the rarer the card the more collectable. |
